Tris Pharma, Inc. is recalling three lots of infants' liquid ibuprofen sold at several national retailers because the medicine may contain a higher concentration of ibuprofen than advertised.

 

The New Jersey-based drug company said there is a "remote possibility'' that the increased amount of ibuprofen could lead to permanent kidney injuries in infants. Other adverse effects could include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea, along with tinnitus, headaches or possible stomach bleeding.
